Sloes and Berries

It occurred to me yesterday that the hedgerows may be at their best at this time of year.  In spring they are bursting with life and movement, but at this time of year they have a much calmer beauty.  The above is a snap of woodbine berries amongst some sloes, which really caught my eye.

  1. What a beautiful photograph! Indeed, I am almost wishing snow upon you right now, purely to see what magical images you manage to conjure out of it.

  2. Don't wish too hard.....it's on its way! Watch this space!

  3. It's already snowing on the north Norfolk coast ... doubtless extremely beautiful, although not necessarily very convenient for anyone who is trying to get anything done today.

Meanwhile here in Central London I'm digging out old Lake District walking gear, e.g. insulated socks, as it's that sort of day.
